The article discusses the relationship between the riddle and other genres of folklore and the methodological possibilities
of its use in Russian as a foreign language lesson. In particular, it talks about the role of the puzzle genre in the study
of proverbs and fairy tales, which describes different types of tasks based on the connection between riddles and
other genres.
