P. 746-759Abstract: We discuss various approaches to designing a small-size subterahertz-wave spectrometer based on the effect of cascade frequency multiplication, which can be used for local environmental monitoring of the atmosphere under field conditions. The results of estimating the limit of detection by the absorption coefficient are presented along with information about the optimal ranges and limits of detection based on the concentration of several molecular components, which are of interest for environmental monitoring of the atmosphere.
