С. 277-279Abstract: Jahn-Teller effect is concerned with lifting orbital degeneracy and producing structural distortions in molecules and solids. It affects a wide range of properties, including magnetic and band structure. In this work we propose a family of intrinsic magnetic topological insulator materials which are subjected to Jahn-Teller effect. Using first-principles calculations we study their properties and investigate the effect of Jahn-Teller distortions on magnetic and band structure. We show that these distortions bring dramatic changes in magnetic anisotropy energy and band structure.
