Выявлена авторская интерпретация данных лексем, определена их роль в формировании психологических портретов персонажей и смысла произведения. The report focuses on the semantics of such emotive nouns as “fever” (goriachka), “delirium” (bred) and “febrility” (likhoradka) in the mature novels by F.M. Dostoevsky. The author’s interpretation of the mentioned lexical units is elicited, their role in formation of the characters’ psychological portraits and the meaning of the text as a whole is described.
