С. 19-21Abstract: Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase plays an important role in the repair of single-strand breaks (SSB) and double-strand breaks (DSB). As is known, PARP1 gene activation is an alternative way of DNA repair in tumor cells. In this regard, violations in this gene may be associated with the effectiveness of treatment of breast cancer patients. In the present study, we consider the role of PARP1 copy number aberration in breast cancer. The study included 114 patients with luminal breast cancer of stage IIA—IIIB, with a morphologically verified diagnosis. As a result of the study, the frequency of copy number aberration PARP1 was estimated. In 50.9% of cases amplification of this gene is observed; deletion in 31.6% of cases; normal gene status was observed in 20 patients. The presence of amplification of the PARP1 gene was found to be a good response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. However, PARP1 amplification is associated with a poor prognosis of the disease.
