for the development of expedition tourism
in the Tomsk region. Presented are actual examples
of expeditionary tours in demand in Russia and the
region in question. It is concluded that the Tomsk
region has all the prerequisites for the development
of expeditionary tourism, which is facilitated by
unique natural and cultural-historical objects, the
educational level of the population, the concentration
of the most diverse scientific schools and collectives
interested in expeditionary activities. A competent
combination of all these factors and a professionally
thought-out system for organizing expeditionary
tours can also contribute to the economic demand for
this type of tourism in the region under consideration.
