Material type: ArticleArticleOther title: "Such a nasty thing could only come up in Adrianov’s head": on the reasons behind the conflict of Siberian regionalists of Tomsk and Krasnoyarsk in 1917-1919 [Parallel title]Subject(s): Online resources: Click here to access online In: The article suggests a hypothesis that the reasons for confrontation between different groups of Siberian regionalists (“oblastniks”) during the Revolution and the Civil War have their roots in the pre-revolutionary period. The author believes that the political struggle of the Krasnoyarsk group of regionalists led by V.M. Krutovsky (“Krasnoyarsk Union of Oblastniks-Autonomists”) against the Tomsk group of regionalists with A.V. Adrianov playing one of the main roles (“The Potanin Circle”) is a logical continuation of the private conflict between the same persons acting as editors-in-chief of the periodicals “Siberian Notes” and “Siberian Life” respectively from February to May 1917. Based on archival sources and periodical materials, the author proves that this conflict grew out of the polemic struggle of the publicists of the journals “Siberian Notes” and “Siberian Archive” (“Siberian Annals”), which took place in the period from August to December 1916.
