анализ трех публикаций Е. Ф. Корша 1840–1850-х гг., посвященных Японии и Франции, позволяет сконструировать созданные в них образы восточного и западного
(провинциального) мира, выделить сходства их репрезентации, связав это с приверженностью Е. Ф. Корша к западнической идеологии и его устремленностью
к решению актуальных для России середины XIX в. проблем национальной
самоидентификации и путей развития страны, народа, нации.
The paper first explores the activities of Russian liberal Eugene Korsch as the author and translator of articles in the genre of travelogue. The analysis of three publications by Eugene Korsch of the 1840–1850-s devoted to Japan and France allows us to construct the images of the eastern and western (provincial) world created in them, to highlight the similarities of their representation, linking this with Korsch’s commitment to western ideology and his aspiration to the solution of the problems of national self-identification and ways of development of the country, people, nation, which are relevant for Russia in the mid-nineteenth century.
