Томск, Россия С. 60-63Abstract: Studies of the electrophysical process in the discharge circuit of a copper vapor laser (CVL) are carried out. The conditions under which the pumping of the active medium of CVL is carried out at the expense of the energy supply from the peaking capacitor with an efficiency of ~ 3% are determined. It is shown that the current through the switch drops to zero after charging the peaking capacitor. This allows, using controlled switches, to carry out the “cut-off” of the power supply to the active medium from the storage capacitor.
