С. 155-161Abstract: The article deals with one of the most specific issues of Russia’s history, identified in the Historical and Cultural Standard of Liberal Education, in terms of Subject Concepts, approved by the State, i.e. «The Role of Ivan the Terrible, in Russia’s history: reforms and their cost/consequences». The authors analyze the texts of historiographical and literary origin for identification of some of the crucial issues of the Ivan’s IV Reforms as topical ones, which still provoke further investigation in modern educational and scientific environment, in the aspect of new educational values.
