Roth. Dryopleris earlliusiana (Vill.) H.P. Fuchs. D. expansa (Presl) Fras.-Jenk. and Jermy. D. filix-mas (L.) Schott, and Mutleiiccia slruihiopteris (L.) Tod. - in ecosystems of South Siberia. In natural conditions fern populations include gametophyte and sporophyte settlements isolated from each other due to the occupation of different ecological microniches in coenoses. Gametophyte settlements demonstrate complex sex composition and develop in 'safe sites' in coenoses. Separate gametophytes or gametophyte settlements of Dryopleris earlliusiana. D. expansa, and D. filix-mas develop on rotten litter (trunks and branches) whereas gametophytes of Athyrium distentifolium. A. filix-femina develop on naked soil. Sporophyte settlements are formed by individuals of different ages. Age composition of sporophyte settlements depends on ability of sporophytes to reproduce vegetatively and the possibility of renovation through sexual means UR - http://vital.lib.tsu.ru/vital/access/manager/Repository/vtls:000645868 ER -
