Optical properties of бета-BBO were studied in the range
of 0.2 – 2.5 THz at RT and 81 K by THz–TDS. Recorded dispersions
were approximated in the form of Sellmeier equations. Phasematched
down-conversion, as well as SHG within the THz range,
are found possible. Efficient optical rectification into long
wavelength region was experimentally observed.
