Many railway engineers and skilled workers appeared in the region with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway. The institutionalisation of the Polish diaspora was developing on a confessional basis until the end of the 19th century. These were particularly confessional, not ethnic communities, uniting Poles, Belarusians and Germans. The Church created the infrastructure to serve the needs of the community – religious, charity, cultural and educational organizations. With the dissolution of the class system, along with confessional organizations, secular ethno-cultural organizations began to be created, the Polish language acquired independent significance, a national school appeared. The processes of diaspora formation among Catholics acquire ethnic overtones.
